Title: AFLP markers linked to powdery mildew resistance genes in melon line 7-2
Abstract: Powdery mildew is one of the most destructive diseases in melon(Cucumis melo L.)production in China. In this experiment,we studied the AFLP marker linked to powdery mildew resistance in melon line 7-2 by BSA method. The hybrids and segregation populations derived from resistant line 7-2 and susceptible lines 7-1 and 7-3 were used for this study. We have established a highly stable and optimized AFLP protocol, and found M60/E25-520 marker was linked to one powdery mildew resistant gene of melon.
