Title: The Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics Method for Solving Some Dam Break Problems
Abstract: Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics method is a meshfree,Lagrangian, particle method which develops in the past twenty years. It is to actually evaluate spatial gradients without the use of any grid and has the adaptive nature, thus it doesn't suffer from the problems associated with mesh tangling and distortion. Therefore it has been extensively applied to various areas.Applies the SPH method to the shallow-water equation, and then simulates obstacles, floating objects in dam-break problem through using the method of combining virtual particles. And through the numerical experiment proves the feasibility of this method in simulation of complex fluid motion. It laid the foundation for the further development and wider application of SPH method.
