Title: Inhibitory effect of tyroserleutide on nude mice transplanted tumor of hepatic carcinoma human BEL-7402
Abstract: AIM:To investigate the antitumor effect of tyroserleutide on the growth of the human BEL-7402 hepatocarcinoma inoculated into nude mice and explore preliminary mechanism. METHODS:The nude mice bearing xenografts of the human BEL-7402 hepatic carcinoma were given daily ip injections of tyroserleutide or saline or mixture of amino as controls after tumor implantation, altogether about five groups with twelve mice for each.Apoptosis and necrosis were determined with fluorescence-activated cell sorter(FACS) and electron microscopy for detecting cellular microstructural charges. RESULTS:Tyroserleutide could significantly induce the inhibition tumor of growth in nude mice and changed the ultrastructure and cell cycle of tumor cell.At dose of 80 μg·kg~(-1)·d~(-1) and 160 μg·kg~(-1)·d~(-1) it could significantly inhibit tumor growth in nude mice by inhibition rates of 42 % and 58 % respectively. CONCLUSION:Tyroserleutide can inhibit significantly tumor growth in nude mice. The growth inhibition of the xenografts may concern with the apoptosis of tumor cells induced by tyroserleutide.
