Title: The expression of P33~(ING1) protein in breast carcinoma and its clinical significance
Abstract: Objective To explore the relationship between P33ING1 protein expression and occurrence and progress of breast carcinoma. Methods The expression of P33~(ING1) protein expression in 90 samples of breast carci- noma was studied by S-P immuno-histochemical technique. Results The positive rate of P33~(ING1) protein ex- pression in 90 samples of breast cancerous tissues was 38.89% (35/90),and 75.56% (68/90) in the adjacent breast tissues. There was statistically significant difference between them (P0.01).The low expression of P33~(ING1) pro- tein is significantly related with tumor size and the number of metastatic lymph nodes(P0.05 or 0.01),but had no relation with age, pathological type and pathological grade. Conclusion P33~(ING1) gene is an anticancer gene, its low expression is significantly related with the occurrence and progress of breast carcinoma.
