Title: Treatment of Proximal Ureteral Calculi with Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of treating the proximal ureteral calculi with percutaneous nephrolithotomy in situ. Methods The clinical data of 26 cases underwent percutaneous nephrolithotomy for proximal ureteral calculi were analysed retrospectively. Results The procedures were successfully performed in 26 cases. The average operation time was 70 minutes, the estimated blood loss volume 45 mL,the mean hospitalization 8 days. No major complications were noted. Conclusions Percutaneous nephrolithotomy is effective and safe in treating proximal ureteral calculi with fewer complications, minimal invasion and short convalescence.
