Title: Comparison of Efficacy and Safety of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine in Treatment of Cervical Diseases
Abstract: Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine in the treatment of cervical disease and to seek the best treatment. Methods: 240 cases of cervical disease patients in our hospital from 2010February to 2013 February using drug treatment were as the research objects. According to the disease and treatment, they were divided into two groups,120 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine and the control group used western medicine treatment. Comparisons between groups and statistical analysis of the disease and the overall efficacy, adverse reactions and recurrence rate after treatment were carried out. Results: In the observation group, the cervical erosion effective rate was 92. 9%( 39 /42) and the chronic cervicitis rate was 94. 9%( 56 /59) and the cervical cancer rate was 89.5%( 17 /19). The total efficiency was 93. 3%,higher than those of control group, and there was a significant difference( P 0.05). Compared the incidence of adverse reactions and recurrence rate in 3 months, the disease and overall rates in observation group were lower than those of the control group with significant difference( P 0. 05). Conclusion: The treatment of cervical disease with traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine has obvious curative effect, high safety and low recurrence rate advantages. It is widely used in clinic.
