Abstract:To determine a rational construction scheme for tensioning stay cables of the extradosed bridge without backstays,the Zhenshui Road Bridge of the same type was cited as an example and the construction...To determine a rational construction scheme for tensioning stay cables of the extradosed bridge without backstays,the Zhenshui Road Bridge of the same type was cited as an example and the construction schemes for tensioning the stay cables of the bridge in one time and in three times in stages were analyzed.The spatial finite element calculation model for the bridge was established by the software MIDAS Civil,the influences of the one-time tensioning and three-time tensioning of the cables on the structural mechanical behavior of the bridge were investigated by the numerical simulation method and the rationality of tensioning the cables in stages and adjusting the cable forces of the completed bridge according to the influence matrix method were studied.The results of the analysis and study demonstrate that the construction scheme for tensioning the stay cables of the bridge in three times in stages is more advantageous and is feasible in the construction.The adjusting of the cable forces of the completed bridge according to the influence matrix method can achieve the goal of the designed cable forces,only requiring a fewer times of adjusting the cable forces and can avoid the complicated working procedures of repeated tensioning and adjusting the cable forces.Read More
