Methods Free DNA was extracted from peripheral blood plasma of lung cancer patients. After modifying with sodium bisulfite and purifying, then they were used as template for methylation specific PCR(MSP). Results p16 gene promoter aberrant methylation was found in 32 of 51 samples of lung cancer patients(62.7%) using methylation specific PCR,no methylated p16 gene was detected in control samples. Conclusions The measurement of methylated p16 gene may be helpful in early diagnosis of lung cancer.Read More
