Title: A Study on Catalytic Kinetic Spectrophotometry of V(V)-(DBS-Arsenazo)-KBrO_3 System
Abstract: In 6.80×10~(-3)~2.72×10~(-2)?mol·L~(-1) of phosphoric acid medium and in the presence of citric acid,trace vanadium(V) can catalyze the decoloring reaction of DBS-arsenazo oxidized by potassium bromate.Based on this,a new catalytic kinetic spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace vanadium was developed.The results show that the apparent molar absorptivity of the system is e__(522?nm)=2.70×10~6?L·mol~(-1)·cm~(-1) at 522?nm.The linear range of the method is 0~20?μg·L~(-1).The detection limit of the vanadium is 10.6?ng·L~(-1).The method is applied to the determination of the vanadium in water sample with satisfactory results.
