Abstract: Some production and research aspects of taro (Colocasia esculenta (L.) Schott) in Brazil are reviewed. The contents mainly include the resources,distribution and introduction history of taro; the management of illumination,water and fertilizer during taro cultivation; diseases and insect pest control; and harvesting,packaging,storage,etc.
