Title: On the Implication of Zhou Dynasty's Ethics in the Elegiac Poems in Book of Songs
Abstract: The Book of Songs was complied in the ritual social background of the Zhou Dynasty in which ideological conception of Rites of Zhou ran through.This paper only chooses five elegiac poems to do textual analysis in order to see one spot.From different angles XiaoYa Lu-E and Kui Feng Su Guan explained moral ethics that the son of man should fufil filial truth.Qin Feng Huang Niao rebuked the savage sacrificial system through lamentingthree goodness,expressing the rite ruled society's concern and respect on the life value of people.Tang Feng Ge-Sheng and Bei Feng LuYi laments a deceased a husband and a deceased wife respectively,all reflecting the love in life and death which is consistent with Zhou Dynasty's ethics of harmonious marriage,family stability,social harmony and stability of the regime.The Book of Songs lacks positive depictions of etiquette and elaborated ethical teachings.It uses a vivid image and the true feelings to move people's hearts so as to give people inspiration,which makes the person accept the influence of the feudal ethical thoughts imperceptibly.
