Title: The evaluation of autoimmune antibody detection on the diagnosis of celiac disease
Abstract: Objectives To evaluate the value of autoimmune antibody detection on the diagnosis of celiac disease.Method 7 kinds of antibodies were detected from 147 patients with celiac disease symptoms, including antibodies of antigliadin IgA and IgG,endomysium IgA and IgG antibodies,Anti-reticulin IgG and IgA,anti-tissue transglutaminase IgA.Results Among 147 cases,34 cases showed one kind of antibody;14 cases showed two or three kinds of antibodies. The positive ratios of antigliadin IgA,IgG and endomysium IgA antibodies were 53.6%,64.3% and 25% respectively.Furthermore, all of anti-reticulin antibodies showed negative. The histopathologic samples of intestinal mucosa from 10 patients with the positive autoimmune antibody existed villus atrophy. Conclusions Endomysium IgA antibody, antigliadin IgA and IgG antibodiesare of value for the diagnosis of celiac disease.
