With the disinteg...Political personality involves two dimensions: consciousness and unconsciousness, Chinese traditional society and culture shaped the characteristics of Chinese political personality. With the disintegration of traditional society in modern China, the traditional political personality began to evolve into the modern type——the transition from subject personality to citizen personality. Because this transition was caused not by immanent dynamics but by outside forces , many elements of Chinese traditional culture has survived the whole transient process .The extent to which the political personality of various classes and groups in China has developed is quite different. Furthermore , the change has happened primarily at the consciousness level rather than the unconsciousness level, but the political activity of people is mainly driven by their unconsciousness. Therefore although some modern political notions and values have been established in China , the Chinese public's political activities have not been radically transformed.Read More
