Title: Protective Effects of Dipfluzine on Glutamate Induced Neurotoxicity in Cultured Hippocampal Neurons
Abstract: Objective To observe the protective effects of dipfluzine on glutamate induced injury in cultured hippocampal neurons. Methods The primary cultured hippocampal neurons were treated with glutamate to establish injury mode1.The cell viability, lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) leakage rate and intracellular Ca2+ in cultures were measured to explore the protective effect of dipfluzine. Results Dip could significantly lighten the damage of cultured hippocampal neurons induced by glutamate.Dip significantly increased the cell viability and significantly decreased the LDH leakage rate of cultured hippocampal neurons.Dip could decrease intracellular Ca2+.Conclusion Dip can significantly resist the injury induced by glutamate. The neuroprotective activities of Dip can be related to its ability to reduce Ca2+ overload in cytoplasm.
