Abstract: Pragmatic ambivalence guided by the salience of language user,according to the linguistic adaptation theory,fundamentally results from the meaning generation in which the continuous making of fuzzy linguistic signs is made for the purpose of dynamic adaption into the context and linguistic correlates,and meantime functions as an effective strategy to effect the meaning generation and successful communication.
