Title: The Vision of Ecocriticism and the Future of Literary Imagination
Abstract: The idea of environmental criticism rises with the ceaseless negating and transcending the former critical modes and cognitive confines of ecocriticism. It searches more deeply into the ecological, cultural and social implications of literary imagination, and seeks a breakthrough in such aspects as the dialog between eco-theory and environmental movement, ecological construction of place consciousness and environmental justice, in the hope that the literary imagination be revaluated from the ecological, cultural and social perspectives, which will not only enrich the textual connotations and critical molds, broaden the academic vision, but also help advance the dispel of the environmental crisis and the emergence of a harmonious ecology.
