Title: On Zhou Dunyis Morality Doctrine and His Creative Contribution to the Song and Ming Dynasties Morality Theory
Abstract: Zhou Dunyi was a great theorist and educator in Northern Song Dynasty. The value trendency that he emphasized to opt for the golden mean, treasure honesy and stress publicity as well as the method that he initiated to suppress anger and desire and to humor goodness and correct mistakes were not merely thought highly at his time, but influenced far_reaching the dynasties that followed; he not only made an outstanding contribution to the construction of morality theory but also stood at the first place in the Song and Ming dynasties history of neo_Confucianism as well. Even though until now, it is of important realistic value.
