Title: Design of Upgrading and Retrofitting Project in Second Wastewater Treatment Plant of Everbright Water Limited for First Level A Criteria
Abstract: The Second Wastewater Treatment Plant of Everbright Water(Jinan) Limited,with the treatment capacity of 20×104 m3/d,adopted the DE oxidation ditch process originally.In order to meet the first level A criteria specified in the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant(GB 18918-2002),based on full use of the existing facilities,the original DE oxidation ditch facilities were retrofitted according to A/A/O principles,and new advanced wastewater treatment facilities were also built.The ideas and specific plans of upgrading and retrofitting are introduced,and the efficiency of wastewater treatment before and after retrofitting is compared and analyzed.The operation results show that after the upgrading and retrofitting,the effluent can meet the first level A criteria.The investment of this upgrading and retrofitting project is relatively low(about 60 million yuan),moreover,the unit operating cost is increased only by 0.31 yuan/m3.After the actual operation of simultaneous chemical phosphorus removal system for more than one year,it is not found that the obvious decrease in treatment efficiency is caused by the accumulation of flocculant in activated sludge.
