Title: Restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis of Zhejiang isolates of avian infectious bronchitis virus
Abstract: WT5”BZ]In order to make clear the genotypes of infectious bronchitis virus (IBV)isolated in Zhejiang province. cDNA of the S1 gene of five IBV isolates from different regions, including four nephropathogenic isolates J,X,W,N and one proventriculus isolates ZJ 971 ,and one reference strain H 120 , were amplified by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and digested with restriction enzymes HaeⅢ, StyⅠ, PstⅠ, and Ksp632Ⅰ.The patterns of restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis showed that isolate ZJ 971 was the same genotype as strain H 120 . IBV isolates.J,W,Xand N have identical genotype. However, their RFLP patterns were different from other nephropathogenic IBV isolate reported in the literature, such as the classic nephropathogenic strains T,Gray and Holte, and the respiratory strain H 120 . The results indicated that isolates J,X,W,N were putative variant strains of IBV.
