Methods PD models were established by microinjection o...Objective To explore the effect of Yijingyangxue prescription on expression of Caspase-3 in dopaminergic neurons in Parkinson's disease(PD) rats. Methods PD models were established by microinjection of 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) solution into the substantia nigra of the riht side of the brain. PD rats were randomly divided into the model group (saline,n=6) and the experimental group (Yijingyangxue prescription,n=6) by oral cavity for 30 days. Rotational behavior of rats was examined, the expressions of tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) and caspase-3 in the substantia nigra were detected by immuohistochemical method. Results The experimental group rats showed less rotational behavior after therapy compared with models (P0.05). The percentage of TH immunoreactive cells in the SNc of experimental group rats was higher than that of the model group (P0.05).The OD value of caspase-3 in the SNc of 6-OHDA injected sides decreased obviously in experimental group compared with the model group (P0.05). Conclusion Yijingyangxue prescription could obviously reduce the expression of Caspase-3 to inhibit the apoptosis of dopaminergic neurons in the SNc of PD rats.Read More
