Title: Removal of Heavy Metals from Lead Smelting Sludge by Electrokinetic Technology
Abstract: By using the electrokinetics three kinds of heavy metal in dewatered sludge from secondary sedimentation tank of sewage treatment plant of Henan Yuguang Gold Lead Co.were processed. The effects of the sludge acidizing pretreatment, electrolytic time, cathode pH on the removal rate were investigated.Ion selective membrane was used for removing Pb,Cu and Zn ions from the actual municipal sludge. The results show that the heavy metal removal rate is increased and gradually become stable with the extension of time. The sludge acidification and controlling cathode pH by cycling cathode fluid can improve the removal rate. The removal rate can be increased greatly when ion selective membrane is used.By comprehensive use of the circulating cathode fluid and ion selective membrane, the total removal rate of Pb,Cu and Zn can reach to 75.68%,85.32%,94.28% respectively.
