Title: Analysis of the Curative Effect of Bronchial Artery Infusion in Combination with Radiotherapy on 45 Cases with Midterm-advanced Lung Cancer
Abstract: Objective To report the effect of bronchial artery infusion in combination with radiotherapy on treating the patients with midterm advanced lung cancer.Materials and methods From July 1997 to July 1999,forty five patients with stage Ⅲ B+Ⅳ non small cell lung cancer which couldn’t be treated surgically received bronchial artery infusion plus radiotherapy with medical linear accelerator.A week after the second interventio nal chemotherapy into the bronchial arteries, they received tumor doses of 55~68 Gy/28~34fx in 45(37~49) days at 2.0 Gy per fraction. Results Complete remission rate (CR) was 22.2%、partial remission (PR)62.2%、significant remission rate (CR+PR) 84.4% and effective remission rate 95.6%.By July 2000 of the follow up study, the overall 0.5、1 and 2 year survival rate was 93.3%(42/45)、68.8%(31/45) and 22.2%(10/45) respectively. Conclusions Bronchial artery infusion in combination with radiotherapy can improve the effect and raise the survival rate of patients with midterm advanced lung cancer.
