Title: Study on the extraction of naringin and pectin from shatian pomelo peel
Abstract: Based on the difference properties of naringin and pectin,the extracting process of naringin and pectin from shatian pomelo peel was studied.First,the shatian pomelo peel powder was used as raw material;the naringin in shatian pomelo peel was extracted with alcohol to remove the color and impurities.In this way,the water-soluble pectin lost little.Second,the pectin was extracted with tartaric acid aqueous from the shatian pomelo peel powder after naringin had been extracted.The tartaric acid efficiently catalyzed the hydrolysis of to water-soluble pectin.The tartaric acid bonds metal ion such as Ca2+,Mg2+,to increase the yield of pectin.The optimal conditions were:the ratio of shatian pomelo peel to alcohol was 1 ∶ 10,the concentration of alcohol was 70%,the extracting temperature was 40℃,the extracting time was 60 minutes.The optimal conditions of extracting process of pectin with tartaric acid aqueous were conducted as follows:the pH value of tartaric acid aqueous was 1.5,the ratio of shatian pomelo peel to tartaric acid aqueous was 1 ∶ 20,the extracting temperature was 95℃,the extracting time was 2 hours.
