Title: Synthesis of 5-[4-N-(n-butyl)pyridyl]10,15,20-(4-N-pyridyl)porphyrin-bromide and its color reaction with copper(II)
Abstract: A new reagent 5-[4-N-(n-butyl)pyridyl]10,15,20-(4-N-pyridyl)porphyrin-bromide was synthesized and characterized by 1HMR,UV,IR and MS.A method for the determination of copperwas established based on the color reaction of 5-[4-N-(n-butyl)pyridyl]10,15,20-(4-N-pyridyl)porphyrin bromide with copper(Ⅱ).The optimum conditions of the color reaction was studied. The results show that in pH 2.8 buffer solution,Cu(Ⅱ) reacts with porphyrin quaternaries to form a stable complex with molar ratio of 1∶1.The apparent molar absorptivity is 1.51×105 L·mol-1·cm-1 at the maximum absorption of 424 nm.Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range of 0.1-80 μg/L for Cu(Ⅱ) and the detection limit is 0.02 μg/L.The method has been directly applied to the determination of micro copper in environmental water samples with RSDs of 1.2%-1.8%(n=6)and recoveries of 97.1%-100.4%.
