Title: Study on the relationship between serum β-hCG and early onset severe preeclampsia among the pregnant women during the third trimester of pregnancy
Abstract: Objective: To explore the relationship between the change of serum β-human chorionic gonadotropin(β-hCG) level and early onset severe preeclampsia, analyze its clinical significance. Methods: One hundred and fifty-nine pregnant women with hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy(HDCP) who were diagnosed and cured in the hospital were selected as study objects, and normal pregnant women during the same period were selected as control group.ELISA was used to compare the differences of the patients in the two groups. Results: There was no statistically significant difference in the serum level of β-hCG between experimental one group and control group(P0.05);the serum levels of β-hCG in experimental two group and experimental three group were significantly higher than that in control group(P0.05).From 28th gestational week to 34th gestational week, the serum levels of β-hCG in normal pregnancy group and HDCP group showed gradual increasing trends, but the serum levels of β-hCG in early onset severe preeclampsia group at different gestational weeks were significantly higher than those in normal pregnancy group(P0.05),which peaked at 33-34 gestational weeks, and the peak levels were higher than those in normal pregnancy group by 37.84 ng/ml. Conclusion: Serum β-hCG level can be used as an evaluation index for placental function and disease development of the patients with early onset severe preeclampsia,so it should be monitored actively.
