Title: Synthesis of Dehydroabietate Derivatives by Friedel-Crafts Acylation
Abstract: Starting from dehydroabietic acid and methyl dehydroabietate,six aromatic ketones containing rosinyl skeleton were synthesized through Friedel-Crafts acylation,using aluminum chloride anhydrous as catalyst.The products were characterized by IR,1H NMR and 13C NMR.The optimization for preparation of methyl 12-acetyl dehydroabietate from methyl dehydroabietate was specially studied.The optimized conditions were obtained as follows:solvent was carbon tetrachloride,n(aluminum chloride anhydrous)∶n(acetyl chloride)∶n(methyl dehydroabietate)=2.3∶1.5∶1 and reaction time was 6 h.Under this condition,the yield of expected product was up to 92%.
