Title: Sedimentary microfacies and sandbody distribution of Member 2 in the Taiyuan Formation of Tabamiao area in Ordos Basin,China
Abstract: The Tabamiao area is located at Yishan slope stripe in the north of Ordos basin,The second Member in the Taiyuan Formation is the main reservoir for exploitation.According to analysis of the symbols of the sedimentary structure, section framework and log data,it is concluded that Member 2 is a seashore environment with barriers. It has barriers facies, lagoon facies and tidal facies, and belongs to a barrier-lagoon-tide flat sedimentary model.Based on the analysis of the sedimentary microfacies of Member 2,the sandbody is distributed longitudinelly and over a section plane. This shows that sandbody distribution of Member 2 is subjected to sedimentary microfacies. The sandbars in barriers facies have better continuity than the sandbars in tidal facies on both aspects.According to isochronous correlation, the sandbody of Member 2 is divided into two sandstone groups in the light of sedimentation time. They are distributed over a plane, and sandbars in barriers facies of Group Ⅰ come in the sandbars of Group Ⅱ well. After all,it is concluded that the sandbars of barriers facies are the main reservoirs.
