Title: Analysis on Clinical Effects and Security of Nd:YAG Laser Capsulotomy for Treatment of Secondary Cataract
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the clinical effects and the security of Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy for the treatment of secondary cataract.Methods Eighty-two patients(87 eyes) with secondary cataract were received with Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy in our hospital from January 2006 to January 2008.All of them were followed up,and the therapeutic effects and complications were analyzed.Results Successful capsulotomy rate was 100%,and the postoperative visual acuity was improved to a certain extent.There were significant differences between pre-operation and post-operation(P0.05).The main postoperative complication was intraocular lens(IOL) trauma.Conclusions Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy is a simple,safe,and effective method for the treatment of secondary cataract.Choosing operation method properly and understanding and preventing the complications are essential to achieving the desired result.
