Title: A Finite Element Analysis of Static Load Test of Simply Supported Reinforced Concrete Hollow Slab Bridge
Abstract: In order to know the operational security of the bridge on service, and to provide basis for the post-operation or the reformation, this paper does routine structure detection and static load test to determine the static properties of the bridge and to assess its current carrying capacity and the state.Analytical model of the bridge is established in Midas/civil and is analyzed based on the grillage simulation. The theoretic value of the transverse distribution coefficient and deformation of each girder is calculated by this model.Comparing the measured data with the theoretic value, the results show that the concrete strain and deflection of mid-span section of the bridge meets the design requirements of the code, and its structural stiffness has certain safety margin, and it is also in the elastic phase on service. The calculation results of Midas/civil is consistent with that of the hinge-jointed plate method, which has higher accuracy.Meanwhile, this test method carried on this bridge can be a reference for the inspection and rehabilitation o other bridges of the same kind.
