Title: Residue and Degradation Study of Bromothalonil in Banana and Soil
Abstract: Gas chromatography equipped with an electron-capture detector(GC-ECD) was conducted to reveal the residue dynamics and final residues of bromothalonil in banana and soil.Banana and soil samples were extracted with acetonitrile, purified by liquid-liquid separation, detected by GC with ECD,quantified by external standard method. The results revealed that the recovery ranged form 80%~100% for banana,91%~105% for soil with the relative standard deviations of 1.8%~4.8% and 1.8%~4.4% respectively. The limit of detection(LOD) of the method was 8×10-9 g.The limit of quantification(LOQ) was 0.02 mg·kg-1 for banana. The half-life of bromothalonil was 1.8 d in banana,1.9 d in soil in 2009 and in 2010,Bromothalonil decomposed more than 90% in banana and in soil after sprayed for 14 d.
