Abstract: As a faith upholding the force of the human nature, subjectivity came into being as early as in the childhood of philosophy. But this faith has long been theorized into a philosophical category stressing man's mental activity, lingering and evolving in idealistic field and not related to materialistic philosophy. In history, there are some philosophers who wanted to enter on subjectivity and made great efforts towards subjectivity. But they failed to leap over the camtagna valley of this subjectivity. Karl Marx knew well the great value of subjectivity to materialism, so he succeeded in leaping from the materialistic ontology to subjectivity by using practice as a medium, thus ending the dominant position of mentalism in ontology.
