Title: The expression of the p63 gene in the esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma
Abstract: Objective:To study the expression of the p63 gene in the esophageal and cardiac carcinoma. Methods: Immunohistochemical methods(SP) was used to determine the immunoreactivity of p63 genes protein in esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma and cardiac adenocarcinoma. Results: p63 genses protein expressed in the esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma tissue(96.7%) which was significantily higher than cardia adenocarcinoma tissue(10.4%). The expression of p63 genes protein was related with the diffentiation and invation of the carcinoma ,and lymph node metastasis, but not correlated with the age and sex. Conclusion: The p63 gene is high expressed in esophageal squamous-cell, maybe an oncogene in the formation of the esophageal squamous carcinanoma , but not in cardiac adenocarcinoma , that may show the differences in molecule mechanism.
