Title: Observation on Curative Effect of Low Dose Hydrochlorothiazide Combined with Enalapril in Essential Hypertension
Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical effect of low dose hydrochlorothiazide and enalapril alone or combination of both in the treatment of essential hypertension. Methods One hundred twenty patients with essential hypertension were randomly divided into low dose hydrochlorothiazide group(40 cases),enalapril group(40 cases) and hydrochlorothiazide and enalapril group(40 cases),and treated with the appropriate drugs for 4 weeks. The condition of decreased blood pressure before and after treatment, antihypertensive effect and standard reaching rate were compared among the three groups. Results After treatment, blood pressure decreased significantly among the three groups(P0.05),there was no obvious difference in decreasing the blood pressure between the hydrochlorothiazide group and enalapril group(P0.05),but the antihypertensive effect in the drug combination of both was more significant compared with that in two drugs used alone(P0.05).The effective rate of depressurization in the hydrochorothiazide and enalapril group was 75.00% and its standard-reaching rate was 72.50%,and had significant difference from those in the single administration group(P0.05).Conclusion Low dose hydrochlorothiazide and enalapril alone or combination of both in essential hypertension is effective, the drug combination of both can significantly improve the antihypertensive effect and standard-reaching rate, with less adverse reaction.
