Title: Observation on Therapeutic Effect of Insulin Pump in Treatment of Type II Diabetic Patients and Its Nursing Experience
Abstract: Objective To observe the therapeutic effect and nursing care of type Ⅱ diabetic patients by insulin pump therapy. Methods Eighty-nine type Ⅱ diabetic patients were voluntarily divided into two groups:continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII) group (n=49) and multiple subcutaneous insulin infusion (MSII) group (n=40).The patients of the two groups were given psychological, technical and other comprehensive care. Results The level of fasting glucose in adjustment period in CSII group was significantly lower than that in MSII group, and the difference was statistically significant (t=5.96,P0.05).Insulin dosage and the time for controlling blood glucose in CSII group were significantly less than those of MSII group (P0.05).The incidence rate of hypoglycemia in CSII group was significantly lower than that in MSII group, and the difference was statistically significant (P0.01).Conclusions Insulin pump therapy can safely and effectively control blood glucose levels.Comprehensive care affords an effective guarantee for insulin pump therapy.
