The type of liquid distributors influenced the gas pressure drop of CRPB markedly under identical operating conditions. The gas pressure drop of CRPB increased with the increase in rotation speed and gas flowrate and with the decrease in liquid flowrate. Nevertheless, the effect of distributor types on mass transfer was insignificant. The total mass transfer coefficient Kya of gas increasd with the increase in rotation speed, gas flowrate and liquid fiowrate. The mass transfer in CRPB occurred mainly in the packing, and the mass transfer occurring in the process of liquid flowing from the distributor to the packing accounted for less then 10% of the entire mass transfer in CRPB.Read More
