Title: The Effect of Temperatures on the Development and Fecundity of Tetranychus urticae
Abstract: The effect of temperatures on the developmental time and fecundity of Tetranychus urticae Koch on kidney bean was (studied). The results showed that the developmental time, the female longevity and oviposition period decreased with temperature (increase). The ovipositing number per day was lowest at 19℃. The lower thresholds of a development of a generation for (female) and male were 12.16℃ and 12.80℃, the effective cumulative temperature were 122.11 and 114.45 day-degree respectively. The (intrinsic) increase rate(r) was 0.2260,the finite increase rate(λ) was 1.2536/d, the net reproductive rate (R_(0))was 55.2284/(generation), the average generation time(T)= 17.7553 day at 25℃, the intrinsic increase rate increased with temperature increase , while the average generation period decreased with temperature increase.
