Title: The effect comparison of transurethral plasmakinetic resection of prostate and transurethral resection of prostate in treatment of elderly benign prostatic hyperplasia
Abstract: Objective To compare the clinical effect of transurethral plasmakinetic resection of prostate(TUBVP) and transurethral resection of prostate(TURP) in treatment of elderly benign prostatic hyperplasia. Methods 75 cases of elderly patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia treated in our hospital from May 2012 to December 2013 were chosen, and were randomly divided into control group(37 cases) and observation group(38 cases). The observation group were given with TUBVP,while the control group were treated by TURP.The curative effect and postoperative complications of two groups was compared. Results The bleeding volume of observation group was less than that of control group, operation time and bladder irrigation time was shorter than that of control group, the quality of life score and prostate symptom scores was lower than that of control group, and the maximum urine flow was higher than that of control group, the difference was significant(P0.05);the total incidence of complications in observation group(7.9%) was lower than that of control group(29.7%),the difference was significant(P0.05). Conclusion TUBVP for treatment of elderly benign prostatic hyperplasia has less bleeding, and fewer complications, safety and reliability,it is worth popularization.
