Title: Research on the sympathetic activity of the hypertensive with hyperinsulinemia
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the effects of the sympathetic activity on the development of the hypertensive with hyperinsulinemia. Methods:Fast serum glucose(FSG),fast serum insulin(INS),ambulatory blood pressure and the levels of catecholamine in their urine were measured in 32 mild moderate hypertension cases (18 of them are with hyperinsulinemia and 14 with normal insulin level) and 18 healthy persons.Results:(1)The catecholamine level in the urine of hypertensives with hyperinsulinemia are obviously higher than those without insulin resistance and the healthy group( P 0 01);(2)The ambulatory blood pressure of those with hyperinsulinemia are obviously higher than those without hyperinsulinemia.55 6% of the former were nondipper manifestation. Conclusion:The sympathetic nervous system of the hypertensives with hyperinsulinemia are more actively than those without hyperinsulinemia. Therefore in the process of treatment it is also important to reduce the insulin resistance.
