Title: STUDY ON THE NATURAL ANTIOXIDANT OF PYCNOGENOL FROM PINE BARK
Abstract: Processes for extraction, separation and purification of pycnogenol from bark of Pinus massoniana Lamb., Pinus elliottii Engelm., Piuns taeda L., Larix gmelini Rupr., Acacia mearnsii Willd., and needles of P.massoniana and P.elliottii as well as the product qualities were studied. The test showed that the best raw material of the powerful antioxidant of pycnogenol from bark is bark of Aacia mearnsii Willd. The yield of product is high and the product quality is good. The obtained product is a light pink powder, which contains above 95% proanthocyanidin.
