Title: Treatment of Cervicogenic Headache by Stellate Ganglion Block Combined with Cervical 2 Paravertebral Nerve Block
Abstract: Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy of stellate ganglion block(SGB) combined with cervical 2 paravertebral nerve block(C2PNB) and SGB combined with peripheral nerve block(PNB) in the treatment of cervicogenic headache. Methods:A total of 56 patients with cervicogenic headache was randomly divided into two groups with 28 cases each. The patients in group A received SGB combined with C2PNB and those in group B received SGB combined with PNB.After three weeks treatment, using the short-form McGill Pain Questionnaire to compare the efficacy and pain degree(before and after treatment) in the two groups. Results:Compared with before treatment, the pain rating index(PRI),the present pain index(PPI),visual analogue scale(VAS) were lower after treatment(P0.05)in two groups.PRI,PPI,VAS were lower and the cure rate was higher in group A than those in group B after t reatment(P0.05).Conclusion:Both SGB combined with C2PNB and SGB combined with PNB for cervicogenic headache were useful, but the former were better than the latter.
