Title: The Early Affinity between Wild Persimmon Cultivar A Stock and Three Sweet Persimmon Cultivars
Abstract: Contrast experiments on the affinity between wild persimmon (Diospyros kaki var. silvestris ) cultivar A stock and 3 sweet persimmon(Diospyros kaki ) cultivars were carried out. The results suggested that the affinity between Chanshiwuan and the wild persimmon cultivar A and the affinity between the sweet cultivar native to Macheng and the wild cultivar were relatively stable and strong. After the wild cultivar was planted in field for two years, grafting was done. The grafted plants could show anthesis in the first year and produced some fruits in the second year. But the affinity between Qianchuancilang and the wild cultivars was less strong. Some grafted plants showed swelling in the grafting position in the first year, and because smaller in the second year. In the third year the grafted plants shrank.
