Title: Effect of Shumai Capsule on GMP-140 and PC of Patients Suffering from Coronary Heart Disease with Angina Pectoris
Abstract: OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of Shumai Capsule on the patients suffering from coronary heart disease with angina pectoris. METHOD 85 patients were divided randomly into a treatment group (52 patients, treated with routine western medicines and Shumai Capsule) and a control group (33 patients, treated with only routine western medicines) RESULT In the treatment group, the total effective rate, angina pectoris total effective rate and ECG total effective rate were 94.23%, 94.23% and 61.54% respectively, which were higher than those in the control group (81.82%, 78.79% and 45.45%,P0.05). After the treatment, the content of plasma GMP-140 dropped from 23.05±5.28 ng/mL to 11.20±2.64 ng/mL, and PC activity rose from 52.05±4.48% to 66.79±7.12%. The two values changed significantly as compared with those before the treatment (P0.05). CONCLUSION Shumai Capsule combined with western medicines is more effective than simple western medicines in the treatment of coronary heart disease with angina pectoris.
