Title: A NEW SPECIES OF NOTOBITUS FROM GUANGDONG PROVINCE (HEMIPTERA: COREIDAE)
Abstract: In this paper a new species of Notobitus Stal is described from Guangdong Province. Type specimens are deposited in the Research Institute of Entomology, Zhongshan University. All the measurements in. desmption aie in millimeters.Notobitus femoralis sp. nov. (figs. 1-2)♂ body length 20, width of abdomen 6.0. Body, :blackish-brown, shining, with pale pubescence. Pronotum, scutellum, clavus and corium with blackish-brown punctures. Lengths of antennal segment Ⅰ: Ⅱ: Ⅲ: IV=3.2:3.2:3.3:5.8, basal part of 3th segment, base and apex of 4th segmeat brownish-yellow. Length of heiad 1.8, width of head 2.5 and width of vertes 1.0. Rostrum extending beyond the mesosterum, Ist segment the longest, extending to the median of prosternum. Length of pronotum 4.0, width betwe-en lateral angles 6.1. Posterior femora strongly eompressed laterally, with a series of spines beneath, of which the largest and most prominent one is situate about at middle (fig. 1). The structure of male genital segment as shown in fig. 2.♀ body length, 21, width of pronotum between lateral angles 6.2, width of abdomen 6,3.Holotype ♂, allotype ♀, Mt. Nankun (23°38'N, 114°38B), Gungdong Province, 10. VI. 1983, collected by Weng Qiyong.This new species differs from the known species of Notobitus in the posterior femora strongly eompressed laterally, and the strueture of male genital segment also different.
