Title: HYDRATION OF β-DICALCIUM SILICATE UNDER DIFFERENT HYDROTHERMAL CONDITIONS
Abstract: Hydrothermal reactions of β-dicalcium silicate synthesized by solid state reaction were carried out in stainless steel autoclaves with agitation under an autogenous pressure by two different hydrothermal treatment methods at temperatures from 150℃ to 400℃ up to 5 days. 7 kinds of products of calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) phases with the same C/S ratio as the precursor (α-dicalcium silicate hydrate and dellaite), Ca-rich composition (jaffeite and reinhardbraunsite), and Si-rich composition (C_8S_5, kilchoanite and foshagite), were synthesized from β-dicalcium silicate. The relationship between the obtained phases and conditions of formation, and the stability and formation mechanism of C-S-H phase were discussed.
