Title: Clinical observation of glycolic acid combined with collagen dressing in the treatment of acne vulgaris
Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of glycolic acid combined with collagen dressing in the treatment of acne vulgaris. Methods 78 cases of facial acne vulgaris patients, randomly divided into two groups:39 cases in the experimental group(glycolic acid combined with collagen dressing) and 39 cases in the control group(glycolic acid only). Results The effective rate of the experimental group was 87.2%,which was much higher than that of the control group 53.8%,and there was significant difference between the two groups. Meanwhile, the effective rate of hyperpigmentation and scars in the experimental group was higher, and so was the improvement rate of the patients' self-assessment. Conclusions The treatment of acne vulgaris with glycolic acid and collagen dressing, in which collagen dressing is not only adjuvant for treating acne, but also can help to repair the skin barrier function, reducing the incidence of adverse reactions, is effective and worthy of clinical popularization and application.
