Title: The Root of Female Tragedy in Thai and Chinese Literature of the 20th Century
Abstract: The 20 th century witnessed the beginning of the New Literature in Thailand and China, when they had both shifted from modern into contemporary literature. During that period, the awakening of feminism and works created in literature revolution became the real origin of Thai and Chinese feminine literature. The tragic characters shaped by writers in these two countries reflect the real thought, feelings, esthetical psychology and esthetical standards of modernists. It also showed their concern on the feminine issues and deep probation into the social problems arising at that time.
