Title: Quantitative Evaluation of Communication Skills Training in Medical Colleges
Abstract: Objective To investigate the status quo of communication skills training in medical schools and to provide reference for curriculum reform.Methods Communication Skill Training Evaluation Questionnaire,which was developed by Dalhousie University,was filled out by 260 medical trainees.Results Strictly,91.5% participants thought that communication was important,85.0% hoped communication skills were trained during the whole medical education,86.6% believed that communication skills should be improved by contacting with patients,70.7% thought role-play could improve teaching effect,71.5% reflected teachers′ inadequate feedback and 76.1% felt that they should pay more attention to communication skills training.Conclusion Curriculum reform of communication skill training should be taken immediately,both teachers and students should be trained to improve their communication ability.
