Title: Effects of Turbocharger Structure Parameters on Exhaust Emissions of a Non-Road Direct Injection Diesel Engine
Abstract: In order to match the turbocharger with diesel engine rationally, turbine scrolls with different 00 area, compressor rotors with different inlet diameter and turbine rotors with different outlet diameter were designed.Effects of these structure parameters on emissions and fuel consumption of the engine were studied through experiments. The emmission test was conducted according to the measurement methods for exhaust pollutants from diesel engines of non-road mobile machinery(eight-mode test cycle).Experimental results show that changing 0—0 area of turbine scroll and inlet diameter of compressor rotor have greater effects on emissions and fuel consumption of the diesel engine in comparison to changing outlet diameter of turbine rotor.Compared emissions and fuel consumption, the scheme No.8 turbocharger was selected to match with the engine.
