Title: Study on photosynthetic and biological characteristics of ‘Jinmixiaye’ peach
Abstract: 【Objective】 In order to explore single leaf photosynthesis and characteristics of canopy photosynthesis in ‘Jinmixiaye’ peach,its biological characteristics,light intensity of canopy,seasonal variation of net photosynthetic rate(Pn) were studied with ‘Zhongnongjinhui’ and ‘Hongshanhu’ as controls.【Method】Leaf anatomical structure,Chlorophyll content and other characteristics of leaf and shoot were investigated through paraffin-cut section,ethanol extraction and field investigation,respectively.Seasonal variation of net photosynthetic rate(Pn)and canopy photosynthesis were measured using Li-6400 portable photosynthesis system.【Result】1)The palisade thickness,spongy thickness,leaf thickness and specific leaf weight(SLW) of ‘Jinmixiaye’ peach were higher than that of ‘Zhongnongjinhui’ and ‘Hongshanhu’.But chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b,leaf width and leaf area were lower compared with controls.Its Shoots/number of bud break(65.5%)was high,but fruit setting rate(3%)was low.Compared with two controls,it reached cease-growing stage of branch 20 days early.2)The light intensity and net photosynthetic rate(Pn)in the inner canopy in ‘Jinmixiaye’ peach were higher than in ‘Zhongnongjinhui’ and ‘Hongshanhu’,and light intensity was uniform among lower,middle and upper layer.3) Diurnal changes of net photosynthetic rate(Pn)of ‘Jinmixiaye’ peach were one-peak curve from May-July and double-peak type from August September,and its midday depression of photosynthesiswas not obvious 【Conclusion】The main characteristics of ‘Jinmixiaye’ peach was that its shoots/number of bud break was high,leaf thickness was big,but chlorophyll content was lower.Its light intensity and net photosynthetic rate(Pn)in inner canopy were higher as well.Its diurnal changes of net photosynthetic rate(Pn)in 5-7 months was one peak type and in 8-9 months was double peak type,midday depression of photosynthesiswas not obvious.
