Title: Fermentation optimization of L-lactic acid production by 5-L bioreactor
Abstract: Fermentation conditions of Lactobacillus TL-4 in 5-L bioreactor was studied. The maximum lactic acid production (150g/L) and the highest sugar utilization (94.62%) were obtained at concentrations of corn syrup and bran were 10 ml/L and 20 g/L, respectively, with ventilation at 200L/h, 150r/min for 12 h and with neutralizer of 400g/L Ca (OH)2. Inhibition of substance could be decreased by fed-bacth fermentation, which deduced concentration of L-lactic acid at 172.5g/L and sugar utilization at 96.27%. Cost of nitrogen source for L-lactic acid was about 200 RMB/ton.
